Key Responsibilities:

• Support and oversee the welfare and development of elementary school students
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students and families
• Collaborate with teachers and parents to create a supportive learning environment
• Develop and implement strategies to promote student well-being and success
• Participate in school events and community engagement initiatives
• Maintain accurate records and reports related to student counseling activities
• Provide guidance and support to students in academic, social, and emotional areas
• Stay up to date with best practices in counseling and student support

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A relevant degree and further therapeutic training or qualification in working with children and young people
• 1 to 2 years of experience working as a School Counselor
• Experience working with local communities and Emirati students and families
• Bilingual Arabic and English speaker
• Open to working in an American Curriculum School

Preferred

• Experience with Emirati children and their families
• Flexible and enthusiastic approach with a can-do ethos
• Innovative and reflective practitioner with a desire to learn and grow
