The Opportunity:

As a School Counselor, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional and academic development of students. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young lives in a supportive and innovative educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the emotional, social, and academic well-being of students through individual and group counseling.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop and implement student support plans.
  • Provide guidance and resources to students, parents, and teachers on mental health, behavior, and personal development.
  • Conduct regular assessments and monitor student progress in relation to their social and emotional needs.
  • Participate in school events and contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student counseling and interventions.
  • Stay up to date with best practices in student welfare and attend relevant professional development sessions.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a consistent approach to student support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant degree and further therapeutic training or qualification in working with children and young people.
  • One to two years of experience working as a School Counselor.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Commitment to student welfare and development.

Preferred

  • Experience working with local communities and Emirati students and families.
  • Bilingual Arabic and English speaker.
  • Experience working in an American Curriculum School.
  • Flexible and enthusiastic approach with a can-do attitude.
  • Innovative and reflective practitioner with a desire to learn and grow professionally.
