The Opportunity:

As a School Shop Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the Senior School Shop. You will work closely with the Shop Manager to maintain high standards of customer service, manage staff, and oversee all aspects of retail operations. Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the daily operation of the school shop and support the Shop Manager.
• Oversee staff rotas, day-to-day supervision and ensure consistent customer service standards.
• Manage cash handling, basic financial processes and end-of-day procedures accurately.
• Assist with stock control, display management, and sales activity, including seasonal uniform periods.
• Liaise effectively with colleagues, departments, suppliers and parents as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience supervising staff in a retail or customer-facing environment.
• Strong customer service focus with the ability to maintain high standards.
• Confidence in managing rotas, timesheets and day-to-day staff matters.
• Experience with cash handling, reconciliations and basic financial processes.
• Organised and numerate, with good IT skills (including spreadsheets and retail systems).

Preferred

• Experience working in a school or educational setting.
• Knowledge of retail systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekend working.
