The Opportunity:

As a Science Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping science education by leading curriculum development, mentoring teachers, and ensuring alignment with international standards. This is a leadership role for someone passionate about fostering curiosity and critical thinking in students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement an innovative, comprehensive science curriculum aligned with international standards
• Mentor and support science teachers to enhance instructional practices and student outcomes
• Coordinate resources and collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive, multidisciplinary approach
• Promote best practices in science education and integrate technology into instruction
• Monitor and assess student progress to ensure alignment with curriculum goals
• Lead professional development initiatives for science staff
• Ensure compliance with ADEK and school policies and procedures
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and lifelong learning

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Education
• Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in science subjects
• Demonstrated leadership experience within an educational setting
• Strong understanding of science curricula and assessment methods
• Ability to design engaging, student-centered lesson plans
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Preferred

• Experience with AP science programs
• Familiarity with integrating technology into science instruction
• Experience in curriculum development and teacher mentoring
