The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a Maths Teacher - Secondary to join its dynamic team and make a meaningful impact on students’ learning and achievement. This role is ideal for someone passionate about mathematics and committed to delivering high-quality education in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons across Years 7 to 13, aligned with the UK National Curriculum.
- Support students from diverse linguistic backgrounds, including EAL learners, through differentiated instruction and inclusive practices.
- Manage and develop classroom resources and digital tools such as Google Classroom and Google Meet to enhance student learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to department and whole-school priorities, including curriculum development and assessment.
- Participate in professional development and quality assurance processes to continuously improve teaching practice.
- Monitor student progress and provide targeted support to ensure achievement and growth.
- Contribute to the school’s commitment to sustainability through initiatives such as the farm school program.
- Engage in extracurricular activities and school events that promote a positive learning culture.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a closely related field.
- Teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
- At least one year of teaching experience in a secondary setting.
- Confident knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for secondary mathematics.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to support diverse learners.
Preferred
- Experience teaching across a range of secondary year groups.
- Proficiency in using digital tools to support learning.
- Experience with bilingual or multilingual education practices.
