The Opportunity:
As the Assistant Head of Data and Assessment, you will play a key role in supporting the Head of Secondary in the management of the school and the development of teaching and learning strategies. This role is essential in ensuring that assessment data is effectively collected, analyzed, and used to drive student achievement and school improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Secondary in the day-to-day management of the school, including staff recruitment, policy development, and event organization.
- Assist in the development and implementation of school improvement plans, ensuring all stakeholders are actively involved in school governance and development.
- Lead the creation and maintenance of high-quality learning environments that promote academic achievement and positive behavior.
- Oversee the collection and analysis of assessment data to track student progress and inform teaching strategies.
- Provide leadership in the development of teaching and learning policies and ensure they are up to date and effectively implemented.
- Support the induction and deployment of new staff and ensure safeguarding requirements are met.
- Promote a culture of continuous professional development and support staff through training and mentoring opportunities.
- Collaborate with partner schools and external service providers to enhance learning and expand educational opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of assessment procedures and data analysis.
- Experience in school management and policy development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership and staff teams.
Preferred
- Experience in data-driven decision making in education.
- Background in British curriculum or international education settings.
- Experience with continuous professional development and staff training.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies in education.
