Join a thriving Science department and make a meaningful impact on students' learning. As a Science Teacher (Biology & BTEC Medical Science), you will contribute to a high-performing team and deliver engaging lessons across a range of Level 3 science subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching in Biology and BTEC Medical Science, including A Level and vocational courses.
  • Support students in achieving excellent academic outcomes and personal development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources.
  • Participate in departmental planning, staff meetings, and continuous professional development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and success.
  • Stay up to date with curriculum developments and innovative teaching methods.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and extracurricular programs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Biology and BTEC Medical Science.
  • Experience teaching at Level 3 or equivalent, including A Level and/or vocational courses.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and student success.
  • Willingness to teach across a range of science subjects and support the school’s curriculum.

Preferred

  • Experience in sixth form teaching or transitioning from secondary to sixth form education.
  • Background in delivering GCSE Combined Science or related subjects.
  • Familiarity with BTEC qualifications and vocational teaching approaches.
  • Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes and engagement.
