As a Science Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education and supporting students from Key Stage 3 to 5. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons to students from Key Stage 3 to 5, including A Level and vocational courses.
  • Support students in their academic and personal development, fostering a love of learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative and engaging Science curriculum and resources.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and student support.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.
  • Work closely with technicians and support staff to ensure the effective use of Science facilities.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 to 5, including A Level.
  • Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
  • Commitment to inclusion and student achievement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with vocational Science qualifications such as Applied Science or Medical Science.
  • Experience working with ECTs (Early Career Teachers).
  • Interest in supporting student development beyond the classroom.
  • Familiarity with the LaSWAP post-16 consortium.
