As a Science Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education and supporting students from Key Stage 3 to 5. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons to students from Key Stage 3 to 5, including A Level and vocational courses.
- Support students in their academic and personal development, fostering a love of learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative and engaging Science curriculum and resources.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and student support.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.
- Work closely with technicians and support staff to ensure the effective use of Science facilities.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
- Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 to 5, including A Level.
- Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
- Commitment to inclusion and student achievement.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with vocational Science qualifications such as Applied Science or Medical Science.
- Experience working with ECTs (Early Career Teachers).
- Interest in supporting student development beyond the classroom.
- Familiarity with the LaSWAP post-16 consortium.
