The Opportunity:
Join a dynamic and supportive team as a Science Teacher, shaping the future of students with SEMH needs in a brand-new Additional Resource Provision. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact through innovative teaching and a tailored, flexible curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive Science lessons that promote strong progress and critical thinking.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students with SEMH needs.
- Use a variety of assessment strategies to monitor progress and support student development.
- Contribute to the development of a broad and ambitious Science curriculum.
- Collaborate with colleagues to shape the new SEMH ARP and its learning environment.
- Foster positive relationships with students and maintain high expectations for academic achievement.
- Support the school’s mission of inclusivity and excellence through innovative and reflective teaching practices.
- Work across both the main school site and the new SEMH ARP as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Science Teacher with relevant experience.
- Strong subject knowledge in Science and the ability to teach across key stages.
- Experience in working with students with SEMH needs.
- Excellent classroom management and relationship-building skills.
- Commitment to social justice, inclusivity, and student well-being.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development and enrichment activities.
- Background in inclusive education or SEMH practice.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and innovate within a team setting.
- Experience with assessment strategies and data-driven teaching.
