The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic and supportive team as a Science Teacher, shaping the future of students with SEMH needs in a brand-new Additional Resource Provision. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact through innovative teaching and a tailored, flexible curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive Science lessons that promote strong progress and critical thinking.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students with SEMH needs.
  • Use a variety of assessment strategies to monitor progress and support student development.
  • Contribute to the development of a broad and ambitious Science curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to shape the new SEMH ARP and its learning environment.
  • Foster positive relationships with students and maintain high expectations for academic achievement.
  • Support the school’s mission of inclusivity and excellence through innovative and reflective teaching practices.
  • Work across both the main school site and the new SEMH ARP as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Science Teacher with relevant experience.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Science and the ability to teach across key stages.
  • Experience in working with students with SEMH needs.
  • Excellent classroom management and relationship-building skills.
  • Commitment to social justice, inclusivity, and student well-being.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and enrichment activities.
  • Background in inclusive education or SEMH practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and innovate within a team setting.
  • Experience with assessment strategies and data-driven teaching.
