The Opportunity:

As a Science Teacher, you will inspire students through inquiry-based learning, helping them develop the skills to become autonomous, lifelong learners. You will play a key role in fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of scientific concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement inquiry-based learning experiences to promote student curiosity and independent thinking.
• Teach conceptual knowledge that connects across subjects and supports understanding of big ideas.
• Design real-life, contextualized learning experiences that link to local and global contexts.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver interactive, student-centered learning experiences.
• Plan for student differences by scaffolding learning and providing challenging, meaningful work.
• Implement ongoing assessment strategies to monitor and support student learning.
• Integrate technology to enhance learning and ensure digital integrity.
• Support students’ language development and affirm their cultural identity.
• Empower learners to understand and advocate for sustainability principles.
• Engage in professional inquiry and continuous reflection to improve teaching practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or related field.
• Valid teaching qualification or certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in an international or IB setting.
• Strong understanding of inquiry-based and conceptual teaching approaches.
• Experience in collaborative planning and assessment practices.

Preferred

• Experience with the IB curriculum (PYP, MYP, or DP).
• Proficiency in using technology to enhance learning.
• Experience in teaching approaches to learning skills.
• Background in sustainability education or environmental science.
• Experience in professional inquiry and action research.
