Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student progress and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student performance regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the Science curriculum.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of extracurricular Science activities and events.
  • Support the school’s commitment to inclusivity and the development of life skills for students.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to departmental meetings and training sessions.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and carers.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Science subject knowledge.
  • Experience in teaching Science at the secondary level.
  • Commitment to student success and a passion for Science education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with a focus on professional development and CPD.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience with inclusive education and supporting diverse learners.
  • Leadership experience or willingness to take on additional responsibilities within the department.
