The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
  • Support student academic and personal development through engaging and inclusive teaching.
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced colleagues and laboratory technicians.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate new teaching methods.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of a broad and balanced Science curriculum.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment in the laboratory and classroom.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a science-related subject.
  • Experience teaching Science at secondary level.
  • Commitment to student engagement and academic success.

Preferred

  • Specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, with a preference for Physics.
  • Experience in a school with a strong focus on community and values-based education.
  • Experience with innovative and creative teaching methods.
