The Opportunity:

As a Religious Studies Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education to students at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking department and make a meaningful impact on student learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons in Religious Studies across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student engagement and achievement.
  • Support students in developing critical thinking, reflection, and understanding of religious beliefs and practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources.
  • Participate in departmental and school-wide initiatives, including enrichment activities and professional development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the school’s mission of fostering resilience, reasoning, and resourcefulness in learners.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Studies.
  • Strong knowledge of the subject and the ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Commitment to student well-being and academic success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching Religious Studies at Key Stage 5.
  • Experience with ECTs or a track record of professional development.
  • Familiarity with online teaching resources and digital learning tools.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
