The Opportunity:
As a Religious Studies Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education to students at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking department and make a meaningful impact on student learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons in Religious Studies across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student engagement and achievement.
- Support students in developing critical thinking, reflection, and understanding of religious beliefs and practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources.
- Participate in departmental and school-wide initiatives, including enrichment activities and professional development.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the school’s mission of fostering resilience, reasoning, and resourcefulness in learners.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Studies.
- Strong knowledge of the subject and the ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Commitment to student well-being and academic success.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching Religious Studies at Key Stage 5.
- Experience with ECTs or a track record of professional development.
- Familiarity with online teaching resources and digital learning tools.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
