The Opportunity:

As a Science Teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring the next generation of scientists and supporting students in achieving their full potential. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Plan and implement a curriculum that is aligned with the latest educational research and standards.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support to help students reach their goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
  • Participate in staff development and training opportunities to enhance professional growth.
  • Support extracurricular activities and science-related events that promote student engagement and interest in the subject.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance in line with school policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • Relevant degree in Science or a related subject.
  • Proven experience in teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive teaching practices.

Preferred

  • Experience of working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
  • Knowledge of evidence-informed teaching strategies.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
  • Familiarity with research-based approaches to Science education.
