The Opportunity:
Join a dedicated team as an Apprentice Teaching Assistant and support the delivery of high-quality education. This role offers hands-on experience and the opportunity to develop essential skills in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with individual needs and help them achieve their full potential
- Assist in preparing and maintaining classrooms for lessons
- Work closely with teachers to create a positive and effective learning environment
- Support students with disabilities during movement around the school
- Participate in the care and handling of students with disabilities
- Assist in the display of students’ work and general classroom organisation
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and other staff
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- GCSE or equivalent Functional Skills in Mathematics and English (Grade Level 2)
- GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics and English (Grade C/4 or above)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative
- Commitment to continuous improvement and personal development
Preferred
- Experience working with students, especially those with disabilities
- IT and administrative skills
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Experience in education or a related field
- Knowledge of teaching and learning strategies
