Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Plan and develop engaging and effective Science curricula in line with the school’s vision.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated teaching and assessment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve Science provision and student outcomes.
- Participate in the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities and pastoral care.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback.
- Stay up to date with developments in Science education and pedagogy.
- Contribute to the professional development of the Science team and wider school community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant Science subject knowledge.
- Experience of teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience of teaching in a school with a strong academic reputation.
- Experience of working within a Multi-Academy Trust.
- Experience of delivering Science to a range of abilities.
- Experience of using innovative teaching methods and technology in the classroom.
