Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Plan and develop engaging and effective Science curricula in line with the school’s vision.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated teaching and assessment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve Science provision and student outcomes.
  • Participate in the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities and pastoral care.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Science education and pedagogy.
  • Contribute to the professional development of the Science team and wider school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Science subject knowledge.
  • Experience of teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching in a school with a strong academic reputation.
  • Experience of working within a Multi-Academy Trust.
  • Experience of delivering Science to a range of abilities.
  • Experience of using innovative teaching methods and technology in the classroom.
