Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons that meet curriculum requirements and promote student success.
  • Develop innovative teaching strategies and resources to enhance student learning and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support and feedback to ensure continued improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous development of the Science department.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and events that promote Science and learning beyond the classroom.
  • Support the school's commitment to "students first" by fostering a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.
  • Stay up to date with curriculum developments and incorporate new teaching methods and technologies into lesson planning.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance in line with school procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Science Teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience.
  • Strong understanding of Science curriculum and teaching strategies.
  • Commitment to student success and a passion for inspiring young people.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality lessons and achieving positive student outcomes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to the development of the department.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with a track record of academic excellence.
  • Familiarity with Ofsted standards and best practices in education.
  • Experience with inclusive teaching strategies and supporting diverse learners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
