The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Class Teacher – SEND to join our dynamic team. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of students with SEND, while benefiting from continuous professional development and a supportive working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, individualized teaching and learning experiences tailored to the needs of students with SEND
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans and resources that support student progress and engagement
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to create a holistic support network for students
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing detailed feedback to students and parents
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and behavior
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment for all students
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and SEND provision
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Experience in a school rated Outstanding by Ofsted
- Background in curriculum development or special needs support
- Familiarity with assistive technology and differentiated instruction methods
- Experience with behavior management strategies in a SEND setting
