Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality science lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student engagement and understanding.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the science curriculum.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.

  • Stay up to date with developments in science education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in science.
  • Proven experience in teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Strong track record of successful outcomes in student achievement.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching English as a second language.
  • Background in curriculum development or leadership within a science department.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching technologies and resources.
  • Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or collaborative educational environment.
