The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Science Teacher to join our dynamic department and make a meaningful impact on student learning. This role offers the opportunity to teach across Key Stages and specialise in your area of expertise within a supportive and well-resourced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and specialise in your Science discipline at GCSE.
- Plan and deliver engaging and innovative lessons that promote a love of Science and encourage student curiosity.
- Manage and motivate students effectively, ensuring a positive and productive classroom environment.
- Support the development of student progress through regular assessment and feedback.
- Contribute to the life of the school by participating in co-curricular activities and extracurricular events.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Science and Technology Department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
- Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate digital learning tools into lessons.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Science Teacher with relevant subject knowledge.
- Experience in teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and GCSE level.
- Strong classroom management and pastoral skills.
- Excellent planning, teaching and assessment skills.
- Commitment to student motivation and engagement.
Preferred
- Experience with AQA GCSE and A Level Science syllabi.
- Familiarity with digital learning and interactive teaching tools.
- Experience in co-curricular or extracurricular Science activities.
- Background in pastoral care or student support.
