The Opportunity:

We are seeking an inspiring Art and Design Teacher to join a passionate and dedicated team. This role offers the chance to shape the creative development of students and contribute to a curriculum that is both academically rigorous and creatively enriching. The successful candidate will play a key role in nurturing the artistic talents of students aged 11–18.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Art and Design lessons that inspire creativity and critical thinking.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that supports student progress and engagement.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized learning and constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the department.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events that promote student well-being and achievement.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing detailed and actionable feedback.
  • Stay up to date with current trends and developments in Art and Design education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Art and Design education.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and creative lessons.
  • Experience working with students aged 11–18, ideally in a school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to inclusion, diversity, and student well-being.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and leading Art and Design curricula.
  • Experience with using technology in the classroom.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience within a school environment.
  • Familiarity with the school’s strategic vision and values.
