The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Science Teacher to join a dynamic and highly regarded Science Department. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students, deliver high-quality lessons, and contribute to a school that values excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons that promote student achievement and enthusiasm for the subject.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that support the learning needs of all students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to departmental planning, resource development, and curriculum enhancement.
  • Support the school’s commitment to inclusion and equal opportunities by ensuring all students have access to high-quality education.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities to maintain and enhance teaching standards.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Engage with parents and carers to support student learning and well-being.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A teaching degree, QTS, PGCE/PGDE or equivalent, recognised for teaching in the UK.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
  • Experience in teaching Science at the appropriate level.
  • Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities and backgrounds.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Experience in a school with a strong focus on inclusivity and equal opportunities.
  • Demonstrated success in raising student achievement and attainment.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation in Science education.
