The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Science Teacher to join a dynamic and highly regarded Science Department. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students, deliver high-quality lessons, and contribute to a school that values excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons that promote student achievement and enthusiasm for the subject.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that support the learning needs of all students.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to departmental planning, resource development, and curriculum enhancement.
- Support the school’s commitment to inclusion and equal opportunities by ensuring all students have access to high-quality education.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities to maintain and enhance teaching standards.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
- Engage with parents and carers to support student learning and well-being.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A teaching degree, QTS, PGCE/PGDE or equivalent, recognised for teaching in the UK.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
- Experience in teaching Science at the appropriate level.
- Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities and backgrounds.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Experience in a school with a strong focus on inclusivity and equal opportunities.
- Demonstrated success in raising student achievement and attainment.
- Experience with curriculum development and innovation in Science education.
