Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality French lessons up to GCSE level, ensuring students achieve excellent results.
- Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies that align with the school’s rigorous academic curriculum.
- Support students in making informed choices about their GCSE options, including French and Spanish.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the MFL department’s performance and contribute to a wide range of extracurricular activities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities, including coaching and leadership training.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management through the school’s centralised systems.
- Stay up to date with educational research and apply it to improve teaching practices and student outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching French.
- Strong subject knowledge in French up to GCSE level.
- Experience in delivering lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Commitment to student achievement and a track record of raising attainment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Spanish at KS3.
- Familiarity with curriculum design and pedagogical research.
- Experience with international travel or exchange programmes.
- Previous involvement in leadership or coaching initiatives.
