Join a dynamic team as a Secondary Alternative Pathways Teacher and help shape the future of education for students with diverse learning needs. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact through innovative teaching and support programs that align with the IB philosophy and promote inclusive learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the Head of Inclusion on curriculum development and timetabling for Alternative Pathways.
  • Collaborate on future developments and improvements to the Alternative Pathway program.
  • Work with specialist subject teachers to modify curriculum content for mainstream lessons.
  • Manage and update the IASEND assessment tracker for Alternative Pathway students.
  • Coordinate reporting systems with the Head of Inclusion and specialist teachers.
  • Design and manage resources with Learning Support Assistants and case managers for ASDAN and Alternative Pathway programs.
  • Internally moderate ASDAN student files for certification.
  • Deliver ASDAN tasks and assignments and lead training sessions for Learning Support Assistants.
  • Coordinate with the Dubai ASDAN coordinator and International Development coordinator for effective integration and review of ASDAN programs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor of Education or equivalent with a teaching qualification such as PGCE, PGDE or specialism in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Inclusion.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with SEN students or within Inclusion roles.
  • Full-time professionally certified Alternative Pathways teacher.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in teaching and/or administration.
  • Availability to start in August 2026.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching the IB Middle Years Programme or Diploma Programme.
  • Strong public relations and collaborative skills.
  • Advanced qualifications in education or related fields.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and the IB Learner Profile values.
