The Opportunity:
As a Secondary Inclusion Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs and helping them achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver inclusive, engaging, and differentiated lesson plans tailored to the needs of secondary students.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support student progress and well-being.
- Monitor and assess student performance regularly, using data to inform instruction and intervention strategies.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and personal growth.
- Stay up to date with the latest educational research, teaching methodologies, and inclusive practices.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Inclusion department.
- Support the implementation of the IB MYP/DP framework and Approaches to Teaching where applicable.
- Communicate regularly with parents and other stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to student learning and development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A Bachelor of Education degree or an initial degree with a relevant teaching qualification such as a PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent specialism in Inclusion.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching Secondary Inclusion.
- Strong understanding of inclusive education principles and practices.
- August 2026 availability.
Preferred
- Experience teaching within an IB curriculum school.
- Strong knowledge of the IB MYP/DP framework and Approaches to Teaching.
- Alignment with the IB Learner Profile values and a commitment to the school’s inclusive and aspirational vision.
- Experience working in a culturally diverse and international community.
- A passion for continuous professional development and a commitment to improving student outcomes.
