Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver high-quality, inquiry-based chemistry lessons that promote deep conceptual understanding.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student wellbeing and academic success.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement the school’s curriculum and assessment strategies.
- Use evidence-based pedagogy and reflective practice to continuously improve teaching and learning outcomes.
- Support student agency and independence through differentiated instruction and meaningful learning experiences.
- Engage in professional development and action research to enhance teaching practice and student achievement.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive and collaborative school community.
- Promote international mindedness and sustainability through curriculum and extracurricular activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- At least two years of post-qualification teaching experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
- PGCE or QTS qualification, or equivalent teaching license from non-UK countries.
Preferred
- Experience with inquiry-based learning and student-centered pedagogy.
- Familiarity with the IB Diploma Programme and international curriculum standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student wellbeing and character development.
- Experience in action research or professional development initiatives.
