Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality, inquiry-based chemistry lessons that promote deep conceptual understanding.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student wellbeing and academic success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement the school’s curriculum and assessment strategies.
  • Use evidence-based pedagogy and reflective practice to continuously improve teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Support student agency and independence through differentiated instruction and meaningful learning experiences.
  • Engage in professional development and action research to enhance teaching practice and student achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • At least two years of post-qualification teaching experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • PGCE or QTS qualification, or equivalent teaching license from non-UK countries.

Preferred

  • Experience with inquiry-based learning and student-centered pedagogy.
  • Familiarity with the IB Diploma Programme and international curriculum standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and character development.
  • Experience in action research or professional development initiatives.
