The Opportunity:

As a Secondary PE Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping student physical development, wellbeing, and lifelong learning habits. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality, inquiry-based PE lessons that promote student engagement and physical development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student wellbeing and character development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school to design and implement the PE curriculum and cross-curricular learning experiences.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to support student progress and success.
  • Use evidence-based teaching practices and reflective strategies to continuously improve classroom instruction and student outcomes.
  • Promote a culture of health, fitness, and active lifestyles through extracurricular activities and school-wide initiatives.
  • Support the school’s mission and vision by integrating international-mindedness and sustainability into PE programs.
  • Participate in professional development and action research to enhance teaching practice and student learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • At least two years of post-qualification teaching experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • PGCE or QTS, or equivalent teaching license from non-UK countries

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Physical Education at the secondary level
  • Familiarity with the IB Diploma Programme or similar international curricula
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with action research and evidence-based teaching practices
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and character development
