The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Secondary Computer Science and Science Teacher to join our dedicated team. This role involves delivering engaging and innovative lessons across Key Stage 3 through to Sixth Form, with a focus on promoting inquisitive and independent learning. The ideal candidate will contribute to the ongoing development of the subject and support students in achieving their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Computer Science and Science across Key Stage 3 to Sixth Form.
  • Promote inquisitive, reflective and independent learning through practical and creative teaching methods.
  • Maintain and enhance the high standards of teaching and learning within the subject.
  • Support students in achieving their individual academic goals and preparing for GCSE, IB or equivalent qualifications.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement new learning initiatives.
  • Uphold public trust in school leadership and maintain high standards of ethics, behaviour and professional conduct.
  • Build positive and respectful relationships with students, colleagues and the wider school community.
  • Serve in the best interests of the school’s students at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Computer Science and Science at secondary level.
  • Proven ability to deliver creative and dynamic lessons from Key Stage 3 through to Sixth Form.
  • Experience of teaching the exam syllabus for Computer Science and Science at GCSE and IB or equivalent.
  • Strong team player with a practical and flexible approach to problem solving.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience with implementing new learning initiatives and technologies in the classroom.
  • Strong leadership skills and a keen interest in contributing to the development of the subject area.
  • Experience in a multicultural and international educational setting.
