The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join our Secondary School team. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to delivering high-quality education and supporting student achievement up to KS5. As a Humanities Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic and personal development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach a range of Humanities subjects to students following the English National Curriculum, including IGCSE and IAL.
  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that promote critical thinking and a love of learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Participate in school-wide events, meetings, and professional development activities.
  • Support the school’s mission by fostering a culture of respect, kindness, and academic excellence.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the school through active involvement in self-evaluation and leadership initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant bachelor’s degree.
  • PGCE or PGDE and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Experience teaching Humanities at the Secondary level, preferably up to KS5.

Preferred

  • Experience with the English National Curriculum and IGCSE/IAL qualifications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated success in student achievement and classroom management.
  • Experience with safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
