Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Secondary English department to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement curriculum plans aligned with international standards.
  • Mentor and support teachers to enhance their professional development.
  • Monitor student progress and implement targeted strategies for academic improvement.
  • Collaborate with school leadership on strategic planning and curriculum development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes creativity and critical thinking.
  • Integrate technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
  • Ensure alignment with the school’s mission and values in all departmental activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in English or Education (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years teaching experience in secondary education with leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of international curricula relevant to secondary English education.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to inspire and motivate both students and staff.
  • Proficient in using technology to support learning and teaching.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and strategic planning.
  • Familiarity with STEM-based enrichment programs.
  • Experience in a British International School or similar educational setting.
