The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced AP Curriculum Coordinator to lead the development and implementation of the High School curriculum, with a focus on strengthening the Advanced Placement (AP) program. This role combines 0.5 FTE leadership responsibilities with a 0.5 FTE teaching timetable, offering a unique opportunity to shape academic pathways and support student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design, review, and alignment of curriculum across divisions to ensure coherence with school learning outcomes and external standards.
  • Assist departments in developing course scope and sequence documents, unit plans, and assessment frameworks.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure curriculum documentation meets accreditation and quality assurance expectations.
  • Monitor implementation of new courses and provide feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate the phased introduction and expansion of Advanced Placement courses in alignment with College Board expectations.
  • Provide instructional coaching and curriculum support to teachers in areas related to academic rigor and standards alignment.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on student performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Support the development of systems that monitor student readiness for advanced academic pathways.
  • Collaborate closely with department leaders, counselors, and senior leadership to support student academic progression.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, instructional leadership, or program coordination.
  • Strong understanding of USCC, standards-based instruction, and university-preparatory pathways.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to analyze academic data and support improvement initiatives.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching advanced or college-preparatory courses.
  • Familiarity with Advanced Placement program structures or College Board expectations.
  • Experience supporting accreditation or curriculum review processes.
