Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with IGCSE/GCSE and A-level curricula.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Design and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor and support student progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English Faculty's teaching practices and curriculum development.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the school's culture of continuous improvement.
  • Support students' emotional, social, and academic development through personalized engagement and mentorship.
  • Stay up to date with educational research and best practices in English teaching and learning.
  • Utilize technology and digital resources to enhance teaching and student learning outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching IGCSE/GCSE English Language (first language) and English Literature.
  • Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons.
  • Commitment to student well-being and holistic development.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching A-level English.
  • Familiarity with British-based curricula and international education standards.
  • Experience with technology-enhanced learning and Google Apps for Education.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for curriculum design and innovation in teaching.
