The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with IGCSE/GCSE and A-level curricula.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
- Design and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor and support student progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English Faculty's teaching practices and curriculum development.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the school's culture of continuous improvement.
- Support students' emotional, social, and academic development through personalized engagement and mentorship.
- Stay up to date with educational research and best practices in English teaching and learning.
- Utilize technology and digital resources to enhance teaching and student learning outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching IGCSE/GCSE English Language (first language) and English Literature.
- Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons.
- Commitment to student well-being and holistic development.
Preferred
- Experience teaching A-level English.
- Familiarity with British-based curricula and international education standards.
- Experience with technology-enhanced learning and Google Apps for Education.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for curriculum design and innovation in teaching.
