The Opportunity:
As the Deputy Head of Early Years, you will play a key role in the strategic and operational leadership of the Early Years Centre. This is a vital position that supports the academic and emotional growth of young learners, contributing to the school’s mission of excellence in education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the academic and emotional development of students in the Early Years Centre.
- Contribute to the strategic direction and operational management of the primary school.
- Collaborate with the Head of Primary and other deputy heads to ensure consistent standards and practices.
- Develop and implement initiatives that enhance teaching and learning across the Early Years Centre.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development among staff.
- Monitor and support student well-being, ensuring a safe and nurturing learning environment.
- Stay informed on best practices in early years education and integrate them into school policies.
- Work closely with parents and the wider school community to support student progress.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in early years education.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop teaching and learning strategies.
- Strong understanding of child development and wellbeing.
- Experience in strategic planning and operational management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
