The Opportunity:

As the Deputy Head of Early Years, you will play a key role in the strategic and operational leadership of the Early Years Centre. This is a vital position that supports the academic and emotional growth of young learners, contributing to the school’s mission of excellence in education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the academic and emotional development of students in the Early Years Centre.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction and operational management of the primary school.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Primary and other deputy heads to ensure consistent standards and practices.
  • Develop and implement initiatives that enhance teaching and learning across the Early Years Centre.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development among staff.
  • Monitor and support student well-being, ensuring a safe and nurturing learning environment.
  • Stay informed on best practices in early years education and integrate them into school policies.
  • Work closely with parents and the wider school community to support student progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in early years education.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop teaching and learning strategies.
  • Strong understanding of child development and wellbeing.
  • Experience in strategic planning and operational management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading school-wide change initiatives.
  • Familiarity with international curricula and educational standards.
