The Opportunity:
We are seeking an inspiring Geography Teacher to join our growing team, offering flexibility in working hours and the opportunity to teach across key stages. This role is ideal for someone passionate about online education and committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences in a dynamic, future-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and interactive Geography lessons to students aged 11-18 in a remote/virtual setting.
- Create and curate high-quality online learning resources tailored to GCSE and A-level specifications.
- Support students with special educational needs and mental health challenges through individualised strategies.
- Utilise a range of teaching approaches to maximise student engagement and learning outcomes in a virtual classroom.
- Provide detailed feedback and assessments in line with learning objectives and curriculum requirements.
- Foster a sense of community and collaboration among students through group activities and discussions.
- Stay up to date with the latest Edtech tools and incorporate them into lesson planning and delivery.
- Participate in mentoring and pastoral support activities as part of the school’s commitment to student well-being.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching Geography to secondary students.
- Experience in teaching groups of students in both online and traditional settings.
- Strong understanding of assessment for learning and diagnostic techniques.
- Ability to engage and support students from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to flipped learning and the use of technology in education.
- Experience in creating resources for online learning and delivery.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Geography at GCSE and A-level.
- Familiarity with Edexcel International GCSE and A-level CIE specifications.
- Proven ability to innovate with technology to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Experience in creating highly engaging online learning content.
