The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Geography lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.

  • Support students in achieving their academic potential through differentiated teaching and individualised feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to departmental planning and development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing clear and constructive feedback.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the ongoing improvement of teaching and learning.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that values respect, equality, and diversity.
  • Engage with parents and the wider community to support student learning and development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Geography.
  • Experience teaching Geography at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching Geography at Key Stage 5.
  • Experience with instructional coaching or mentoring.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
  • Experience with using technology in the classroom.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support.
