Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons for KS3-KS5 students, ensuring engaging and challenging content.
• Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that meet the needs of a diverse student body.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching and leadership skills.

• Contribute to the planning and delivery of extra-curricular activities related to History.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A good bachelor’s degree and PGCE qualification from a reputable UK university.
• Experience teaching the English National Curriculum at KS3-KS5 level.
• Strong knowledge of History and the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
• High standards of teaching and a commitment to student achievement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

• Experience with international students and multicultural environments.
• Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
• Experience with assessment and curriculum development.
• Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience.
• Familiarity with British School Overseas (BSO) standards and practices.
