The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary English Teacher to join our dynamic team. This role involves teaching across Grades 6–12, including High School Diploma and IBDP English, and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire academic excellence and a love of literature.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach English across Grades 6–12, including High School Diploma and/or IBDP courses.
• Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that inspire curiosity and critical thinking.
• Use effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and inform planning.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including EAL and high-ability students.
• Create a safe, respectful classroom environment rooted in high expectations.
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental resources.
• Maintain excellent communication with parents regarding student progress and wellbeing.
• Support the wider life of the school through extracurricular and enrichment programs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or English (with teaching qualification).
• Valid teaching certification meeting Qatar MOEHE requirements.
• Minimum 3 years’ teaching experience, including experience in High School Diploma and/or IBDP English.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and effective teaching practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an international, multicultural environment.

Preferred

• Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
