As a Secondary Maths Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic success of students, guiding them through advanced pure mathematics, mechanics, statistics, and preparing them for competitive university pathways.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality A Level and Further Mathematics lessons that inspire and challenge students.
• Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to support student learning and achievement.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students reach their full potential.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental performance and share best practices.
• Contribute to the extra-curricular programme, including maths clubs, competitions, and events.
• Support the well-being and pastoral care of students within their care.
• Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate new teaching methodologies and technologies.
• Participate in professional development and training opportunities to maintain and enhance teaching expertise.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Hold a bachelor’s degree relevant to the teaching subject or equivalent.
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Mathematics.
• Experience of teaching GCSE and A Level Mathematics.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience teaching A Level Mathematics, including Further Mathematics.
• Ability to deliver consistently inspirational lessons and a track record of outstanding results.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Evidence of recent professional development relevant to the role.
• Commitment to the extra-curricular programme.
• Commitment to student well-being and pastoral care.
• Strong ICT skills to support modern teaching practices.

Preferred

• Experience of working overseas or with international students.
