The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary Spanish and Catalan Teacher to join its expanding team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons in Spanish and Catalan, and potentially other subject areas.
  • Integrate project-based learning, service learning, and real-world applications into teaching.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular learning experiences.
  • Support the development of students’ character through the school’s guiding principles and Class Connect Programme.
  • Promote student wellbeing and ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in curriculum planning, assessment, and student progress tracking.
  • Contribute to the ASA (After School Activities) Programme by leading clubs and workshops.
  • Actively engage in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in Secondary Education with specialisms in Spanish and Catalan, with preference for a Master’s or PhD.
  • At least 2–3 years of teaching experience in secondary education, ideally in an international or British school setting.
  • Experience with international curricula such as the IB MYP or Cambridge International.
  • Proficiency in English, Spanish, and Catalan.
  • Hold a Certificat de capacitació per a l’ensenyament en llengua catalana.

Preferred

  • Fluency in Swedish, German, or another language.
  • Experience with AI-powered tools or adaptive learning platforms.
  • Strong record of teaching, learning, and assessment in secondary education.
