Summary:

The Opportunity:

As a SEN Coordinator, you will lead the development and expansion of an inclusive student support program across the school. This is a unique opportunity to build an SEN program from the ground up, shaping systems, practices, and culture in collaboration with a supportive leadership team and engaged teaching staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive SEN support program tailored to the needs of students.
  • Coordinate with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure student well-being and academic success.
  • Provide guidance and training to teachers on inclusive practices and differentiated instruction.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress and interventions.
  • Collaborate with a global inclusion consultant to ensure best practices and continuous professional development.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion and support across the school community.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safeguarding and legal requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as a SEN Coordinator or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of special educational needs and inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
  • Experience in a school setting, preferably in an international or bilingual environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and leading an SEN program from its foundation.
  • Familiarity with British and Spanish educational systems and curricula.
  • Experience with IGCSE and A-level qualifications.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Experience working with a global inclusion consultant or in international education.
