The Opportunity:
As a SEN Coordinator, you will lead the development and expansion of an inclusive student support program across the school. This is a unique opportunity to build an SEN program from the ground up, shaping systems, practices, and culture in collaboration with a supportive leadership team and engaged teaching staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive SEN support program tailored to the needs of students.
- Coordinate with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure student well-being and academic success.
- Provide guidance and training to teachers on inclusive practices and differentiated instruction.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress and interventions.
- Collaborate with a global inclusion consultant to ensure best practices and continuous professional development.
- Promote a culture of inclusion and support across the school community.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safeguarding and legal requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as a SEN Coordinator or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of special educational needs and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
- Experience in a school setting, preferably in an international or bilingual environment.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and leading an SEN program from its foundation.
- Familiarity with British and Spanish educational systems and curricula.
- Experience with IGCSE and A-level qualifications.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Experience working with a global inclusion consultant or in international education.
