Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and review lessons that meet the individual learning needs of students
  • Develop and implement a personalised educational programme tailored to each student’s abilities
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and progress
  • Collaborate with internal and external agencies to ensure comprehensive student support
  • Contribute to the school’s self-evaluation process and continuous improvement
  • Support the professional development of colleagues and lead by example
  • Take an active role in the day-to-day management and operations of the school

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified to teach in the UK
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working with children and young people with complex learning needs or communication difficulties
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred

  • Experience in special educational needs settings
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum and alternative curricula
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Experience with behaviour management strategies
