A school is seeking a Part Time Economics Teacher to join a dynamic and successful department. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Economics to students in the Lower and Upper Sixth, including preparation for A-levels.
  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that go beyond the National Curriculum.
  • Support students in achieving excellent results and developing critical thinking skills.
  • Collaborate with the Economics department to enhance the curriculum and teaching methods.
  • Participate in staff meetings, planning, and departmental initiatives.
  • Provide pastoral support and mentorship to students as needed.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Economics and related subjects.
  • Contribute to the school’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and student well-being.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Economics or a closely related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Economics at A-level or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and engage students.
  • Commitment to the school’s values, including academic excellence, diversity, and pastoral care.
  • Ability to work part-time (0.5 FTE) and be flexible with teaching hours.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Economics in an independent or selective school setting.
  • Familiarity with the UK National Curriculum and A-level specifications.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with using technology in the classroom.
