A school is seeking a Part Time Economics Teacher to join a dynamic and successful department. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Economics to students in the Lower and Upper Sixth, including preparation for A-levels.
- Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that go beyond the National Curriculum.
- Support students in achieving excellent results and developing critical thinking skills.
- Collaborate with the Economics department to enhance the curriculum and teaching methods.
- Participate in staff meetings, planning, and departmental initiatives.
- Provide pastoral support and mentorship to students as needed.
- Stay up to date with developments in Economics and related subjects.
- Contribute to the school’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and student well-being.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Economics or a closely related field.
- Proven experience teaching Economics at A-level or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and engage students.
- Commitment to the school’s values, including academic excellence, diversity, and pastoral care.
- Ability to work part-time (0.5 FTE) and be flexible with teaching hours.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Economics in an independent or selective school setting.
- Familiarity with the UK National Curriculum and A-level specifications.
- Experience with enrichment activities and extra-curricular programs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with using technology in the classroom.
