Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual and small group needs.
  • Track and report student progress, ensuring achievements are celebrated and learning is continuously improved.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and structured classroom environment that promotes independence and growth.
  • Lead in subject areas, coordinating teaching and assessment strategies across key stages.
  • Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Support students with challenging behaviour, guiding them towards self-regulation and emotional resilience.
  • Collaborate with care staff and other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
  • Safeguard students and promote their overall wellbeing, safety, and personal development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Proactive, solution-focused approach to teaching and learning
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-professional team
  • High expectations for yourself and your students

Preferred

  • Experience working with autistic students and those with complex needs
  • Experience in developing and implementing individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Experience in behaviour management and support strategies
  • Experience in curriculum development and delivery for students with diverse needs
