Senior School Well-being Counsellor needed to support student mental health and wellbeing.

The Opportunity:
As a Senior School Well-being Counsellor, you will play a crucial role in promoting the mental health and emotional wellbeing of students. You will lead initiatives that support resilience, self-awareness, and positive coping strategies, helping students thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide confidential one-to-one and small group counselling to students
- Support students with social, emotional, academic, and behavioural challenges
- Respond effectively to safeguarding concerns and student wellbeing needs
- Design and deliver preventative wellbeing programmes, workshops, and campaigns
- Collaborate with staff to embed wellbeing into teaching and pastoral care
- Build strong partnerships with parents and external professionals
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with school policies
- Contribute to the development of a positive, inclusive school culture
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counselling, Psychology, or a related field
- Recognised professional counselling qualification
- Experience working with adolescents in a school or similar setting
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices
Preferred
- Experience in an international school environment
- Familiarity with IB programmes and pastoral care frameworks
- Training in CBT, mindfulness, or positive psychology
