Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Spanish lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and assessment standards.
  • Foster a dynamic and engaging learning environment that encourages linguistic development and cultural awareness.
  • Support students in developing confidence, fluency, and a deep appreciation for language and culture.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning strategies.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of the enriched curriculum programme, including extracurricular activities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support and challenging students to reach their full potential.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom culture that values respect, integrity, and intellectual curiosity.
  • Participate in departmental and school-wide meetings, professional development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience teaching GCSE Spanish is essential.
  • A B.Ed. or degree in a related subject and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge.
  • A proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching.
  • A mindset that believes all students have the potential for top performance and the drive to enable them to achieve it.

Preferred

  • A Level/IB experience in Spanish teaching.
  • Experience contributing to an enriched curriculum programme.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in an international school setting.
