Summary:

Drama Teacher required for September 2026 – part-time role with FTE 0.6.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality drama lessons that foster creativity and confidence in students.
  • Develop and implement a broad and balanced drama curriculum aligned with the school's values and educational goals.
  • Support students in developing their performance and communication skills through practical and theoretical activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular learning and student engagement.
  • Participate in staff development and training opportunities to maintain and improve teaching standards.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities, including drama productions and performances.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and respect.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in drama or performing arts.
  • Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, student-centred lessons.
  • Commitment to the school’s values, including inclusivity, Christian ethos, and student well-being.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Background in theatre or performance.
  • Experience in mentoring or supporting early career teachers.
  • Familiarity with using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
