Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum.
  • Support students with Autism in learning activities and personal skills development.
  • Create medium-term plans and follow schemes of work to ensure structured learning.
  • Take responsibility for a subject or curriculum area and contribute to team planning.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to improve student outcomes and support individual needs.
  • Manage complex behaviours and create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies that cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with special needs, particularly Autism
  • Ability to plan and deliver structured learning environments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection

Preferred

  • Experience in special education or Autism support
  • Familiarity with the national curriculum and differentiated teaching methods
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary team collaboration
  • Knowledge of therapeutic and clinical support strategies
