The Opportunity:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with autism and a range of additional needs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students during educational and therapeutic sessions, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment
  • Assist with hands-on learning activities, including arts and crafts, cooking, and animal therapy
  • Facilitate community-based learning opportunities, such as money skills development
  • Work closely with students in the therapy room, using sensory tools and music to support relaxation and engagement
  • Provide one-to-one and group support during personalized lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Encourage and guide students in developing life skills across a wide range of settings
  • Collaborate with teaching and support staff to deliver consistent and effective care
  • Maintain a positive and uplifting attitude, ensuring students feel valued and supported
