The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Computing to join our successful faculty. This role is ideal for experienced teachers or those returning to the profession, offering a supportive environment, professional development, and a dynamic team. The position is available for maternity cover and is suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with a tailored induction programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons at GCSE and A Level, as well as IT vocational courses at level 2 and 3.
- Engage students in a variety of extra-curricular activities, including overseas residential trips.
- Support the development of a strong culture of professional growth and collaboration within the faculty.
- Utilise state-of-the-art technology and facilities to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Work closely with a supportive leadership team to ensure the continued success of the school's academic standards.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of a comprehensive and innovative computing curriculum.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student achievement and personal development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Computing.
- Experience in teaching Computer Science at GCSE and A Level.
- Commitment to student welfare and professional development.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
Preferred
- Experience with IT vocational courses at level 2 and 3.
- Experience in delivering extra-curricular activities or leading trips.
- Previous experience working with Early Career Teachers or in a leadership role.
- Familiarity with modern computing technologies and pedagogical approaches.
