Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons that inspire and challenge students
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student progress
- Prepare and mark work efficiently, ensuring timely feedback to students
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support professional development
- Engage students in a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Participate in the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities related to English
- Monitor and assess student performance regularly to ensure continuous improvement
- Contribute to the wider school community through professional development and staff training
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire a love of English in students
- Experience of working in a high-performing educational environment
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Experience of teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4
- Experience of working with students with a range of abilities and learning needs
- Experience of using technology to enhance teaching and learning
- Experience of leading or contributing to curriculum development
- Experience of working in a school with a strong focus on student welfare and behaviour management
