Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons that inspire and challenge students
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student progress
  • Prepare and mark work efficiently, ensuring timely feedback to students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support professional development
  • Engage students in a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities related to English
  • Monitor and assess student performance regularly to ensure continuous improvement
  • Contribute to the wider school community through professional development and staff training

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire a love of English in students
  • Experience of working in a high-performing educational environment
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Experience of working with students with a range of abilities and learning needs
  • Experience of using technology to enhance teaching and learning
  • Experience of leading or contributing to curriculum development
  • Experience of working in a school with a strong focus on student welfare and behaviour management
